Biochemical composition of Phleum pratense pollen grains: A review

چکیده
The Poaceae family is composed of 12,000 plant species. Some these species produce highly allergenic anemophilous pollen grains (PGs). Phleum pratense (PPPGs) emerged as a model for studies related to grass allergy. biochemical composition PGs has not yet been fully described despite potential health effects PG constituents other than proteins. This review brings together the information available in literature aiming at creating comprehensive picture current knowledge about chemical from timothy grass. Epicutaneous Immunotherapy Compared with Sublingual Immunotherapy in Mice Sensitized to Pollen (Phleum pratense)
Background. The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of epicutaneous immunotherapy (EPIT) to sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) in a model of mice sensitized to Phleum pratense pollen. Methods. BALB/c mice were sensitized by sub-cutaneous route to pollen protein extract mixed treated for 8 weeks, using sham, EPIT, or SLIT. Measurements involved the serological response and cytokine profil...
متن کاملPhleum pratense molecular pattern across Italy.
Summary Introduction. Phleum pratense (Timothy grass) is the most frequent cause of grass allergy in Europe. Molecular-based allergy diagnostics have been recently introduced in the clinical practice, allowing to define and characterize exactly the sensitization profile. Aim of the study. The present study was aimed to investigate the possible relationships between Graminaceae pollen data and t...

designed to evaluate the effects of LTS61K in Der p sensitized and challenged mouse model of asthma. Results: Both intranasal inoculations with LTS61K or LTS61K/Der p decreased allergen-induced airway inflammation and alleviated systemic TH2-type immune response. In addition, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluids and sera from LTS61K/Der p treated mice have higher concentrations of Der p-specific...
متن کاملQuantification of photoperiodic effects on growth of Phleum pratense.
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Accurate quantifications of plant responses to photoperiod are useful for physiological studies, in growth modelling and in other studies of environmental effects. The objective of the current work was a mathematical description of photoperiodic influence on plant morphological traits, using functions with few and common parameters related to key plant characteristics and ty...
متن کاملAllergy to grass pollen: mapping of Dactylis glomerata and Phleum pratense allergens for dogs by two-dimensional immunoblotting
INTRODUCTION Much less is known about grass-pollen allergens to dogs, when compared with humans. Genetic-based patterns might play an important role in sensitization profiles, conditioning the success of allergen-specific immunotherapy. AIM Mapping of Dactylis glomerata (D. glomerata) and Phleum pratense (P. pratense) allergens for grass pollen-sensitized atopic dogs, for better understanding...
